Just wondering what everyone uses when it comes to vibrant color. Is skinkandy ink any good? I've been using Millenium for a while and I usually custom mix the colors but I'm constantly searching out new things to try.

I have been using melinium inks for a short while and have had good luck with it , exept for black onyx , its a great liner /filler but it dosnt make for a good grey wash . As far as skin candy , I have not used it at all , I have researched thier black light ink , and found that it is not a good ink to use . I have bought mine from crazy chameleon , havent used it yet , but i havent read or seen anything negative about it ....yet

Really, the skinkandy blacklight ink isn't good? I was under the assumption that the ink was as good as krazy kameleon's. Where did you find your info? I don't reccomend trying to shade with Millenium onyx black or with the tribal black. Not the best wash consistency by a long shot. Try kuro sumi or pelican. Has anyone discovered any other krazy ink that i should look at?

well i have seen other forums about blacklight ink and the only real problem that occurs with any of them is they tend to turn to a light brown color in normal light and they can become very itchy . I have seen a few from my customers that have been that way . I have seen the MSDS sheet from skin Candy and one of the active ingreadiants used was Formaldahide !!! And in all my searching I have never read anything bad about the Krazy Chameleon ink . Its also made a different way , the reactive dye is encased in a polymer microsphere that they claim can only be broken down if it has completely frozen . Now they dont list the ingrediants of the die they use , they just say its all organic and safe . Also the ink has been FDA approved for use in fish and wildlife (has to be safe for human consumption) and has been used that way for 10 years now . But I also take into consideration the fact that people havent been using this ink for tattooing very long so that might be why I have not heard of anything bad yet ....Oh ya and I have the MSDS sheet from them too and I dont see anything to be concerned about . the microsphers have been used for years in contact lenses and bone reconstruction and also mixed with callogen to be used to remove wrinkles , so if thats all your body comes into contact with , then it sounds pretty safe . So the only ingreadiants used are the microsheres containing the dye , and distilled water , thats it . So Ill experement with it and give some feed back when I see the reults . They also have a wide variety of colors too , most show up in regualr light and glow under blacklight .

I'm anxious to hear your results with those intenze inks. I wondered whether they were any good. I saw one of those blacklight tats that are supposed to disappear in normal light, and it looked a milky white color. I've been told they do that on dark skin tones but this skin was pretty light, anyone know what ink truly disappears in normal light. I'm sure application plays a role because if you carve the tat all up there got to be noticable change to your skin in any light, right? (maybe like a lite scar) Just curious.

I would have to say that Starbrite is the best I have used to date.I have just purchased some Mum's milleniums - just the base colours - to try - havn't as yet but once I've tried them I'll be able to coment on them.I have heard that the intenze are pretty good aswell - on par with the starries.I have also heard good things about the crazies but havn't dealt with them yet - I will be getting some to try on my self and if they work ok and I have no bad reactions I will then offer them to customers.

I just started using Starbrites and LOVE them. The place I ordered them from had instructions on which ones needed white added to them, which ones shouldn't have white added, and which ones that may need to be thinned. I just wrote right on the bottle "add white"..."mixes with yellow". Their canary yellow is awesome! I just got a bottle of their "tribal black" today and plan on testing it out tonight.

it took me a few pieces to get used to the consistancy of intenze, but ill swear by it,it heals as bright as it goes in,i love the yellows and reds,im not as partial to the starbrights as most people here,i dont like my inks thin,i like packing thick and thin ink seems to have to be worked in to much for me,but each there own,my ways not the only way

Hi
i have the clear blacklightink and some of the colors that can be seen without the light. the clear on my skin healed completely you can only tell its there under the blacklight. its great now you see it, now you dont. but a guy i know got the same ink done by the same person on the same day and his looks like white ink without the blacklight. We had a very hard time with the blue blacklight ink. Maybe someone has someone ideas. the blue will not stay on the needle. after several attempts and changing the tube and needle the ink still wouldnt stay up there. After running the machine in the ink we would get only two short lines and the ink was out again. We had to switch to red which worked fine. Im wondering if its the ink itselsf and we should ship it back or its something that was done wrong. thyis ink is from crazy chameleonThe blacklihgt ink is certainly harder to work with.

We will begin carrying the Spaulding / Rogers version of the practice skins here in the next week or so. Haven't ever tried them, however, we have numerous requests for them. Just to give you a heads up.

definatly let me know when you get them in,I am always trying new skins out even though I get the Moms almost skin cheap I use them to practice but as you know most times it is wiser to pay more money for a better product, then to be cheap & wind up with shit in the end,but for as the skins go I really don't see a diff. between Mom's,Ink This & Superior, thoes are the only ones I have used,I would love to try out the S.R. skins though.

Hi,

Tokyo Pink is bright as it gets. Can get @ Kingpin or from Skin Candy. Also really enjoyng some of the "Eternal" pigments. Plan on getting more soon!

I like the Pink from "Skin Candy" better. Kingpins is a little cheaper.
