any one here do any cosmetic tattooing ....? I would like to get into it , but I dont wanna pay someone a crap load of money ,I really dont think it would be too hard to figure it out , just like the neck I would think , or close to it . We have a lady who has a cosmetic tattooing shop above our shop , and she plans to move soon . So if I could pick up on that I think it would be worth it . We also have like 5 beauty salons in the strip , so the clientel should not be too hard to build up for that . But just looking for some input on that . I am also learning to do piercings as well . I guess I just wanna be a jack-off of all trades ...

ya blush sounds a little harder ... but I bet I could do brows , or eye liner lip liner , I just would like to be versatile in the industry . One day I plan to open my own business , or posibly buy the shop I currently work in , its owned by this old hippy lady who does the piercings , she dosnt want to work for too many more years .

ya its a VERY successful piercing shop , it was in the same location for 6 years , then she sold it for 30,000 (sold in 1 day) then she moved to CostaRica, came back exactly 1 year ago and set up shop in the same business strip , just its around back from the old shop (which is ruened , the guy who bought it changed the name , and the look , and doubled the prices, hes going under ) so she reopened a year ago and is doing very well . but its a lot of work , last month the shop did 9,000 not including the little that was from tats . But she had spent 2600 in product (jewlery , and stuff)then the 500 in rent , then the 250 for advertising then utilities , adn little things like that , I figure she profited around 4-5 thousand . so I can only imagine how it will be when the tattoo part of it really picks up . Theres not much to put back into it for tattooing , just things like gloves , towels , inks , but those are minimal compared to the profit of it , and if I was shop owner , I would not have to be giving someone a cut of the money fopr the work I do ...just a thought though ....

Well I met this girl from a salon down the road , she has had her lip liner done and told me how they did it . Its pretty much like I thought it would be , just stretch the skin and tune the machine down a bit . I WILL get some pointers before acually attempting this , But I was checking prices around town and I was shocked to find out how much this girls are paying for this ...the cheapest eye brows were 300 , eye liner started at about 375 , lip liner starting at 300 , full lips at 500-800 ...the lips sound a little harder , cause they usually have someone numb it first ,a dentist . But hell thers a dentist upstars too ...The girl I met from the salon has agreed to let me do her eye liner (for free) so I think I will try harder to find someone to get pointers from , there are acually two places that teach that that I know of , maybe Ill check into taking a short corse at one of those places . I know most of u guys here dont relly care about doing this stuff , but I think this will be a good opertunity for me to make a lot of money , and believe me I could use it ...

hey I've been doing cosmetic tattooing for 15 years I learn all the basic stuff from big Joe Kaplan back in the 80's in new york when he was one of the few doing it back then, anyways I live here in Mexico now and things are a little easier for me here, I numb the gums, eyelids and eyebrows my self. never had a problem so far thanks god.

yes I use the same machines, needles and pigments I use on regular tattos I don't use any of the Cosmetic pigments available they are very expensive and they are crap and yes stretching the skin the right way is a must. hope it helps.

ok. on the top eyelids I have them put the make up as they usually do but with a water proof marker or liquid eyeliner then I numb the eyelids with an insulin syringe ( you can not do that in the us) then I line the shape of the make up wash off the make up and fill in with an 8 round loose or you can use a 7 loose, do not use a tight needle to tattoo eyelids as you will cause trauma to the skin I've learn it the hard way believe me. the bottom eyelids are easier as they don't have to put any make up on, just fallow the line of the eye and remember not to use tight needles. hope it helps if you need more tips just let me know or shoot me an e-mail.................Ed
