does any one bend the needle bar to help keep the rubber bands on? i also wrote in my notes that you can not use flats in a circular motion but, i see you can do it with double stacks(mags). i would also like to know if riding the tube is the same as letting your tube tip touch the skin ? and if "working off the needle" is the same as "floating"? the terms i have are slightly differant than on this forum. i purchased a cd from ebay & some terms differ...

Yes I bend the bar , but its not to keep the rubber bands on , its to keep the tip of your needles in the bottem of the tube tip , the rubber bands are put in place to keep the needle from bouncing around , so when u get it all set up , and run it , the needle tips should stay in the bottem of the tip .
I never use flats , I always use the loosley set mags , and go with the circular motion , while putting a bit of an angle to the machine .
Some start out by riding the tube , But I prefer to set the needles out to the bottem of the tip , so when shes runnin , they stick out enough to see them while im workin .
Make sure u are using dome premade disposable needles , and tubes . They are very inexpensive , and can be found most anywhere . Also get a bottle of a high level disinfectant , to clean your work area .
Look around in the forum , u will find alot of these answers already here .

unimax says: a mag has an odd number of needles ,wich every other one is bent up & a stack has 2 or more layers with the top layer having less.the way they describe them it sounds like your weave is also known as a mag...
flats-needles st.
mags(weaves)-every other needle bent up.
stacks-2or more layers, top has less needles than bottom.

I ordered some 7mags from Cam , and they sent me the double stack , and it was only seven needles but they were super tight . And didnt fit in my 7 mag tube cause they were too small ....I called and they said they were double stack , and I needed the single stack . So I dunno how that works ..

Ya I never know there was a difference , til I ordered from them , and was thinking double stack has gotta be 4 bottem and 3 top , I figured the single stack meant a 7 flat ....I was wrong ..
