If your a tattoo artist who has a fresh tattoo and its covered and had triple antibiotic ontiment on it is it alright to tattoo on someone else, or would this be a cross contamintion issue. I just got done tatooing the top of my hand and ive been wearing guaze over it, im just saying with the gauze,ointment and latex glove would this still be a no no?please let me know i have a client wanting a tat tomarrow and I need to know weather I should have him wait or if it would be alright.
p.s. For that matter would it be alright to tat on someone if you have fresh tats anywhere?even covered by clothing? Sorry for all the questions but im new to this and dont want to inffect anyone!

I cant tattoo on anyone if I have an open cut or abrasion on my hands...state regulation

i would be more worried about your own safety in this matter, P.A. Has no such laws or regulations, in fact according to all 3 of the tat shops here in town, there are NO laws or regulations at ALL in P.A. I just spoke with a guy at a shop here in town, claims he's been TRYING for months to get someone from the health department to come down and inspect his shop, just so he can put a HealthBoard Approved sign in his shop, and after months of gettin the run around, somebody finally told him that he's wasting his time, and that the guy will ONLY inspect facilities that deal with food prep and such. Go Figure. :roll:

At tattoo conventions do they offer contamination classes?and can anyone go to these classes or do you have to be a shop owner,as far as the classes at conventions :o

usually if its a convention and its advertised , its open to the general public , and to attend a seminar u only need to pay the fee for the class . I am going to one tonight , Lyle Tuttle will be giving a seminar , I dont know what about yet ...
