This is cool. I just had a girl come over who has an old handpick of a sun tattoed on the outside of her right knee. She got it years ago and it's almost completely faded out. I suggested she cover it with a new tattoo but she said she feels that tattoos are not feminine and would rather have it removed. Now she's a sister (black girl) and has a medium brown skin tone. So I suggested that she have it covered with a shade of ink that matches her skin to make it unnoticeable. And she seemed to like the idea.
I have several shades of brown in my color kit but I also know from experience that the color in the bottle dosent always heal in skin to be exactly the same as what you see in the bottle.
How can I match her skin tone without actually tattooing ink into her skin?
I was thinking I could make a small sample then smear it on the skin to see if it matches. As it stands the tattoo is almost gone anyway. If I use a brown close to her natural skin tone I should be able to at least make it almost invisible.
Any thoughts on this?
