i just bought like 5 colors and i was wondering why 3 of them have marbles in the bottom and the others dont?are they all supposed to have marbles to aid in mixing or just sertain colors.just wondering

Some of mine dont have mixers in them either. Just shake the piss out of em.

i think that ink reciepe i gave you says to use a sterilized marble to aid in mixing.it helps when i mix them,compared to ones without.

It is good to have somthing to help shake it up , melliniums all have a stainless steel nut inside . A marble I would think would plug the tip when turned upside down ...the purpose of having the nut is so the ink can flow through when turned ...so IF your bottle didnt get one , go buy some and toss em in ...sterilize them first of corse...

get the stianless steel ones! so u can autoclave them!
some have a zinc coating on them !

If you ever happen to go into an autobody repair shop that mixes its own paints take a look at the mixing set up they use for the pigments. (damn it would be great if there was a similar set up for tattoo ink) All of the pigments there get mixed at least once a day (or should anyway) the main reason being that pigments settle. When I was still painting there were even some pigments that came with aditional agitators in the container. They just make mixing easier and in some cases help to mix the pigments with out causing the medium to foam.

Someone should invent a agitator for tattoo ink bottles. Be awsome to have some sort of rack system that you could put a set of bottles up and shake them all at once. Or a little miniature one that clamps down one bottle too shake it before use. Hmmmm.....be a cool idea . I would buy one!!!
