Ok, ive just bought my first couple of pro coil machines, (i used to use rotary), But the coils are quite honestly shite!!! Where is the best place to get a decent set of coils, and what sort of prices am i looking at for quality? Cheers peeps :wink:

Coils are pretty standard across the board. Basic iron core with about 250 ft of Magnetic Wire wrapped around them. In the tattoo world each layer is called a wrap. In the electronic world wraps mean something entirely different. Perhaps it is not the coils that are the problem but the way you tweaked your machine. Again - the coils are pretty much the same unless you buy outside of the United States then you get into Iron Cores made of less quality Iron. Maybe this pertains to you maybe not. Depends on where you bought them and where they got them from. Luckily you didn't get em from us. We don't sell coils to the public :) Hope that helps. Regarding coils - I imagine you can pick them up from Technical Tattoo, Unimax, Superior or any other supplier in the game. Also a good spot to buy em (little pricey) Micky Sharpz

I get my coils from Technical Tattoo. 8-10 wrap for a liner. 12 wrap for a shader. coils run about 25.00 across the board. but they need to be put on a good frame and they need to be set right to get the best out of them. :D

any one ever buy coils from pappion? supposedly they have the smoothest pull. just wondering
