I just bought a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) and what a difference it made! My machines run much smoother. Definately worth the money. (A cheap one will work... Don't need the battery back-up, just the conditioning.)

Cool, I just have a standard power supply, it dont even have a LED readout on it, it works ok, but im looking to upgrade (as I am with most of my equipment) can u tell me more about this UPS supply bro?

Sure thing! I'm using a standard 1 pot power supply from Spaulding. The UPS I'm referring to is one of those battery back-up things that are mainly used from computers. i.e. If the electricity goes out, you have time to save what you're working on before shutting of your computer. They have really good power conditioning built-in. Most buildings/houses I've been in don't have state-of-the-art wiring and are prone to spikes and brown-outs. (surges and dips in the flow of electricity) A UPS smoothes it out quite a bit. You can find one at pretty much any computer/office supply store.

so they do come with rheostats. i was picturing something else but maybe i have the wrong idea of what kinda ps your talking about
