OKay, so here it is, I was lucky enough for this great tattoo artist to offer me an apprenticeship at his shop (for piercing really, but then he offered to teach me tattoing since peircing didn't seem to be my bag). I sat and watched him tattoo for hours and I set up his machine a few times, cleaned the equipment, all that fun icky stuff. But he never taught me ABOUT the machine, how it works, what all the parts do, how to tune or anything. I did a few small tattoos on my husband and some friends, but still didn't really KNOW what I was doing. I worked there a few short months then got pregnant, so that was the end for me. I really want to get back into, but I am a stay at home Momma, so working at a shop is out of the question right now. I bought a shader machine from Snake Yates and a liner from an under dog co. for like $70.00 and a Power Supply1A from Huck S. all disposable stuff, etc. I have done three medium sized tattoos with my equipment, but when I was working on myself the other night, my machine started sounding ill then conched out on me! I really want to know about my machine. And the only way to learn is to ask, so any suggestions would be great, as I have many questions about Set up/ TUNING!! etc. Thank You![/b]
