Hey everyone, I have a question about my machines, im using machines form PANTHER products in canada, they seem to get really hot after about 20 minutes of use, I have to keep my liner up around 9volts to get a nice line and i slow my shader with 3 elastics and its set down to about 5-6 volts for coloring, but they still get super hot. also having trouble blending and fading colors any tips would be awesome. is this heat thing normal?

I've had one machine overheat during use. I attribute the heat problem the armature bar not being centered over the coil centers. It also sparked like a mig welder.

Were they tuned as a liner and a shader from the supplier?

yep I have a liner and a shader, completly different machines, but they both seem to overheat. ill check to see if there alligned properly, im guessing they may be out a bit. if that dont work ill look into better machines. the hard part aobut getting new equipment here in canada is that most suppliers wont sell to you unless you have a buisiness lisence and/or a health cert...im in the process if setting up my shop.. anyhow...thanks for all your advise guys..

As susspected my top and back spring were slightly out of alignemnt and also my armature bar, it seems to have fixed the problem. They were only out by a 1/6 or less of an inch but I guess that has a major effect on the machine. I guess I overlooked this when tuneing the machines, thanks for the help.
