OK, so some 2 years ago, i started a Tribal tat on my arm and lately I have the itch to extend it and make it bigger. I went to the place that originally did it and they want $300 to complete what i want. Does anyone in South Florida have any hookups with a local shop? I dont wanna go get tatted in someones garage either. A shop. With sterilizing machines and all. license and insured... you know the ones Im talking about...

Basically I have a tribal on my shoulder on my right arm and I want more work down to just above my elbow, my shoulder blacde, my upper chest and just below my neck.

Dallas TX here, $300.00 sounds pretty good for that much area and all solid black. Good, reputable shops can get away with charging more than your garage scratcher because of quality, cleanliness, and the little pesky legal issue. In the end, you get what you pay for.

alright , i answered this one before and im going to do it again ,$300.00 sounds like a pretty good price to me !!! You get what you pay for !!!! GOOD WORK IS NOT CHEAP & CHEAP WORK IS NOT GOOD !!! Personally ,I guarantee my work , what that means is .. if theres a problem w/ tha tattoo that is Gods work or my bad , I take care of it ...NO CHARGE...But if its because of some numbnuts not paying attention to my after care intstructions , or because they picked at it ...F %*#K EM" ..They're gonna get charged again !! Now back to the tribal thing , its my opinion that tribal almost always needs to be done twice , im not talking about little stuff but the big pieces ... When somebody asks a price on big tribal i pretty much double my price , this is from experience ,many a time i ended up telling somebody i wanted to tighten up their tattoo ,because I was'nt happy with it ,and end up spending more time than i'd like to say on a tatto i did for $100.00 bucks . So to our friend looking for a HOOK-UP(?) . I hear theres a little shop in South Beach called "Miami Ink " , see what they quote you !!!!

300 sounds a lil cheap or a good deal for a pretty large tat, IMO.

I'm looking at 3-5k an arm for my sleeves I'm about to get done, but I know what I'm getting is going to be from a known name and show qua but not cheap by any means and have 4 months to wait to even start.

The moral is, you get what you pay for..

if you know someone and get a deal thats another story.
