Type of autoclave and suitable loads
Non-vacuum 'Type N' autoclaves should only
be used for solid instruments which are
placed directly on the instrument tray. In no
circumstances should hollow, pouched or
wrapped items be sterilized in non-vacuum
autoclaves - there is no guarantee that steam
will penetrate to all instrument surfaces, to
effect sterilization of the instrument.
‘Type S’ vacuum autoclaves which employ a
single pulse pre-vacuum phase are suitable
for sterilizing pouched solid or hollow
instruments (where the diameter to length
ratio is no greater than 110:1).
A ‘Type B’ vacuum autoclave with a triple
pulse, pre-vacuum phase is suitable for
sterilizing a wide variety of loads including
complex hollow instruments, sets of
instruments and porous items and loads
which are pouched or wrapped in the
appropriate materials.

What model do you have? This is a excessive amount of time.
How long does it take to reach sterilizing temp and pressure?
Once These are reached, 30 mins is the norm for the cycle (not including dry time, if you can).
I had a P&C OCR, took about 10 mins to reach temp and pressure from a cold start. Timer for 30 mins, vent after, either crack door for dry time, or switch to the dry cycle it had for 15 mins.
So about an hour from cold start.
