Hello all, first time post here.
I was wanting to know if it would be possable to creat tattoo stencils using a plain paper (not therm) fax machine copier. And if so what kind of paper should I use?

Depends on what kind it is. If it's just a laser printer/copier/fax..no. You have to have a printer that has pins that actually touch the paper. Not just spray the ink on.
I use a dot matrix printer to make my stencils.

thanks for the reply, I havn't really had much of a chance to take a look at the fax machine. I know if uses a ribbon type cartrage to print. I thing that is also how the dot matrix works right?

If it uses a ribbon, you can probably use it to make stencils. Because for a printer to have a ribbon..it has to make contact with the ribbon to print.
Try it out and see how it works.
Is it just a fax machine? or a printer too?

You'd be better off getting a used dot matrix printer from ebay. They do a great job using spirit master and they're cheap. That way you could print your stencils from your computer. If you have a scanner, you can scan any of your designs or your customers drawings and print them right to the stencil.

Okay guys, i'll give you my secret...enjoy.

Use a ink jet printer with tracing paper and Dettol.
Apply it within 1 minute and your all set.

I've done it 100's of times and found it really hard to get the stencil off.

Try it and tell me i'm wrong.
