Foil Strip Test
Foil strip test involves cutting alum'foil the length of the inside of the ultrasonic machine and twice the height of the water level.
Place the alfoil strip into a filled ultrasonic machine (that has had detergent added and been degassed) until it almost touches the bottom. Close the lid.
Run the machine for ten seconds.
Remove the foil strip and inspect. The part of the alfoil strip that was sub-emerged in the water must all be covered by an even disribution of perforations. Any area that is not covered by indentations means the ultrasonic has failed the test and needs to be serviced. Meantime, that ultrasonic machine should not be used.
