View Full Version : finally used a mag!!!!!!!!!!

well my shipment from Jack came in today, some tubes, 3rs,and 5mags and some sumi ink. tried the mags and the ink, the mags are amazing i had to adjust my machine a bit tho, i had to make the stroke longer and bump up the voltage(kept the 2 rubber bands on it tho). the mags put the ink in alot faster than i though and alot more even than the 8rs i usualy use, i still need some more practice with the mags before i use them on a client but im very happy with the work i did. does anyone modify the tubes before they use them? i was wondering cause im not use to the angle shovel look of the flat tubes and the needles looked funny in it looked like the needles should be hanging towards the bottom more but they were in the middle maybe i will bend the needle bar liitle more next time.

If you started off with the 5 mag then you made a great choice. In my humble opinion the 5 is like a magic needle grouping. For me, for some reason, I get the best results with the 5.

yep i started off with the 5, i was a little scared to try it tho was scary looking compared to the 5 and 8 rounds i use normally, and having the 2 needles under the 3 will take some getting use to since there kinda hard to see.

, and having the 2 needles under the 3 will take some getting use to since there kinda hard to see. If you have the 2 under the 3 in the tube then they'er upside down it should be 2 over 3 the 2 being on top and the 3 on the bottom in the tube :wink:

ok i was wondering if i had them upside down and i just checked and the needles are on the other side of the bar i made sure the bar was on the right way but didnt bother to check if the needles were facing the wrong way, only the mags are like that tho all my other needles are on the right way i wonder if Jack knows this i get all my supplies from here thanks alot guys, and man i log on here everyday looking to see what your avatar is and it gets me wayyyyy to excited.
