Here's a subject we all know about but I havent seen much discussion about it here. Barrier film. What do you use? Where do you use it? Where do you get it?

I work with a small table sitting next to me. I cover that table with saran wrap then set my paper plate on it. While I'm doing a tattoo the only thing that gets set on the table is my machine. This is where I dip for my ink and get my vaseline off the paper plate. I also lay down a barrier on my glass table to set my spray bottles on. After I'm finished I throw away all the film and clean all my surfaces and spray bottles. Also my light fixture and power supply regardless of whether I've handled them in the process.

On a clean work area, i use a spray with household anti bacterial liquid soap mixed wth water just before covering it. The wrap is easy to roll off after the tattoo with cups included and it. I use a cover for my hands before putting on gloves, a 70% ethanol product that gives me a first glove just in case the ones i'm wearing have holes or splits. I use the bar too. Its the same shape as a builders saw horse. Elbow support. As well as wrap i put a "bluey" on it. An under pad with absorbant one side and plastic the other. Not a chemical barrier but I found them useful.

After I wipe down my massage bed, I wrap that bad boy in saran wrap, along with my PS. I use a plastic rolling bin about 4 drawers high. Wipe the top down, tape down some saran wrap to it, lay down a crostex lap towel on top. I've got a very small spray bottle so a sandwich bag works fine for that.

I use a tray table, first laying down saran wrap, on this goes my ink cap holder which is placed in a plastic bag. also my alcohol and green soap spray bottles (placed in bags) and my squeeze bottle of distilled water (wrapped in plastic). I palce saran wrap on my table as well as paper towels. I bag my machines and clipcords. I use moms plastic sleeves and black dragon gloves, as well as, moms aprons. I also put tape around my power supply knob for adjustment purposes. (not many people think about CC when adjusting their power supply mid tattoo) . And after I wipe every surface with PDI Sani-cloth HB wipes, and spray down my ink cap holder and machines with alcohol. I TAKE NO CHANCES!!!!!
