View Full Version : getting ready to purchase some ultraviolet ink
awhile ago before the forums got hacked i asked about ultraviolet ink and i was given this link
http://bodyartstores.com/~bodyarts/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?pid=384&cart_id=8333240.13891&ppi=PID
ive checked it out and im about ready to order some up in the next week or so, i dont remember who replied about the ink because the post got deleted so any input on the subject would be appreciated i plan on using the ink on myslef before i use it on a client since its expensive 1/2 ounce for $16, so i know what the results will be before i figure out how much to charge for it.

i did research on some of this stuff.crazy chameleon is prob the safest........but they contain something called everglo=the same stuff used on the lines on the highway to make them illuminate at night.so u decide ....me personnally ill stick with the stuff im used too......heard it was really thin and had to be done under black light.....hard to take colors leaves room for overworking the skin.........but looks cool as hell id like to see some pics once you have used it good luck

Look Bro if you heard its not safe then why would you consider getting them.
I sure am not going to use them! I have heard to many conflicting stories on that shit.
well everyone says the ink with everglow isnt safe, but this stuff doesnt have everglow in it, im just looking for people who have used this before

I am not trying to piss you off but do you think somthing that you put into the skin that can glow is safe? I never used them but that is why I will never use them.

True GD I was told when this (stuff) first came it was causing skin cancer. I dont know if it is true but when you hear about this shit why would anybody consider it?

lol somehow this really seems like a conversation i had with a conservative reguarding regular tattoos. im not saying anyone is wrong about the glowing thing but this guy was positive that anything that changesd the color of your skin isnt good for you.
but consider this for some medical exams they have to inject you with an ink that glows and thats in your blood stream . i would much rather have it in my skin.
oh and i may be wrong but i belive that under black light its not an acctuall glow but its a conversion of wavelengths of light.. IE same reason white glows under blacklight. in other words its noit a chemicel reaction
but that in no way is ment to lead you to belive that its not bad for you
like everyone said it hasent been tested enuff to know long term effects

Yeah let's put something in our body that is designed for marking fish. Not the greatest idea in the world . :?

The ink isnt really any color when it's not under a black light. From what I've seen it's kind of yellowish brown. I guess if a person lives under a blacklight or in a dance club it might be pretty cool but otherwise.......

damnit. why so much controversy lol?
i have about 6 clients that have been bugging the shit out of me to get this stuff for them. i told them i was unsure about the safety of it and that changed their minds for all of about 30 seconds.
i would like to put some in my skin also, but after hearing all this stuff its a lil scary to think about.
i have heard they use the same pigment in car paint as they do for tattoo ink.
i dont know how tru that is, but how bad could it be?
plus if something goes wrong maybe you could sue? lol you can sue for anything these days!
