I have read a lot of NOT so great information about these 2 companies and there tattoo inks. Does anyone have input about this that they would like to share? Or are their inks just like all the other inks in the world and they are just getting the bad press about it.....

Warning labels needed on their ink bottles stating that it contains carsenigens like lead and arsenic and possibly other heavy metals?

i inheirited a full set of un-opened Prism inks awhile back ,didnt know anything about them so i stuck to what i knew , Intenze , Kuro Sumi ....After hearing all about theses inks ...i dug the inks out and tossed them in the garbage , then thought about it went back and took em' out , now i use these inks for painting , got some really cool skulls and mardi gras masks that I'm hooking up !!!!! Dont know anything about Spauldings inks , but I'm sure someone does !!!

Well, when I first bought all my equipment, I bought quite a few 1/2 oz. bottles of H.Spaulding inks, and used them on myself, and I think there's only 2-3 colors that healed up and look decent, but nothing like Intenze, Starbrites or Mom's. I'm glad I only got 1/2 oz bottles, don't feel like I threw too much money out the window.

Can anyone explain exactly what it is about some inks that make them better then others (besides the fact that they don't fade and stay in the skin)?

The difference is prolly in the "recipe"
Id assume each company makes their respective ink differently and with diff. ingredients.

from my playing around, prision (prizum) is crap, I had a couple bottles fronted to me. showed them to a freind and then he showed me the differance. put moms, ink into the cap. nice in smothe,where the prison was very thick, and like almost like a tooth pastie.

We then put them both under a scope, and notice the particulets are finer in the moms , and almost double the size in the prison ink.

Yes some colors you have to cut down or thin out, but the thick ness will still cause bad flow into the skin making over worked skin and bab results on the colors.

personaly complete trash.
