I hope this isnt a stupid question but I saw some site selling different types of disposable tubes & 1 of them was v-shaped tubes. I did a search on this forum & couldnt find any info. Would these be the same as diamond tip tubes?

yes,i just got about 50 of them myself.,excellent for outlining.Needle sits in the rear of tube where it needs to be and feeds out the ink nicely as long as you are not pulling back on it.,that would really defeat the purpose of getting the v-tip or diamond.Apply a thin layer of ointment and roll with it.bzzzz bzzzz :)

as long as you are not pulling back on it.,that would really defeat the purpose of getting the v-tip or diamond.Does that mean you can only use them if you push a line? I like to push and pull on the same piece, I was thinking of trying a box of disposables.

Im still learning more and more and im far from a pro,but this is what works for me.The v-shaped and diamond tip both are great as far as feeding the ink when pushing and keeping needles to back of tube. But you will come to areas where you can not always use that motion.,when i get to them areas i just slow down a bit and everything works fine.I really like these tips they put out a fine bead of ink on your line and feeds the ink out very smooth.,thats with applying your vasealine also as you work.

If the band tension on the needle bar is right, you should be able to push or pull lines any which way with v tips
Once I tried the V/Dia. tips I never went back to a round tip.It is so much easier to see what your doing & the needle does not get caught up in the skin when you make a sharp curve,& I find it alot easier when you pull the needle along the line with a v tip rather then a round when I pull with a round It gets caught up or wobbles, not with the V.
Disp. are great to espically if you dont have an Autoclave, just recentaly I got an autoclave & started useing steel tubes tips & grips,I find it easier to work with steel first because there is more weight I my hand so its easier for me to controll, second I can chose what size grip I want to use with disp you only have 2 or 3 choices. Most of all you actually save mone because you re use the steel.
