This is the third time I've done an all B&G tattoo. I sawed on this guy for about two hours. He's a tough sumbich.

I used a 5 round liner in my Iron Strongman for the outline and a 5 mag shader in my East Coast machine for the fill and shade. Once I had the outline done I worked the shade pretty fast. Just kept moving till I was done.

Looks sweet!!! I love the muted shading in the hands that brings it out that much more.

Great job. I'd like to try something similar but use a grey outline rather than black. It may bring out the highlights a little more. Then again I might be talking outa my ass.

9rs before 5rs definately. Not my choice of needle size for a tribal that size.(11 or 13 mag, 7mag at the least). but the 9rs would be better than th 5rs, for that piece

hey guys,well i started the colouring on this tribal piece and its gone wrong,my cousin come back today to show me.it looks quite wierd,ive done 6 all black tats now and they all went great except this 1.i didnt over work the area,i used a mixture of green soap and sterile water too clean while doin it.????its scabbed up and it dont look like any other tatt ive done its slightly orangy and black scabs..he said its been pussin a lil scince 2 days after i done it.i dont understand why its gone like this.i done it exactly the same way as any other tattoo.please help cos this has knocked me back,

You really never know with tribal, some people heal immediately some it takes a month. wait until it is healed. Tribal is actually one of the hardest tattoos. Everyone thinks, well it is just black. No to get a tribal perfect it takes experience. I'm gonna leak a little information that helped me out. After you fill in about 15min, take a paper towel and dip it in water. Rub it on the tribal, it acts like a magnifiying glass, you'll see the spots you missed. And by doing this your not guessing and over working the area. I think everyone should start out tattoing roses, or other simple designs, and getting your black and grey down. Then once your used to getting clean color do tribals.

gotcha,my cuz phoned me yesterday and told me the scabbs are nearly all gone so i guess ill leave it a couple of days and try again,thanx for the info guys,much appriceated.

leave it a couple of weeks yet to make sure it's fully healed
if you fill in to soon your gonna be back at square one

yea i get ya,but i havent filled the whole tattoo in yet,im not gonna go over the part i shaded for a few weeks.ima try a different part see how it goes.cheers
