I just got a tattoo by a guy I work with on Saturday and it is now tuesday and crusty, scabby, and pussing. My shop owner thinks it is cause i was using ink fixx. Highly doubt it. The other guy that works here(mind you that touches freshly done tattoos with bloody gloves, then says oops sorry then wipes it off with a bloody paper towel) says he thinks it is because the guy was using fourteen rounds. I think it is because he went too damn deep, ran his shader in his liner machine, which I didn't know until after we were done, and we took a shit load of breaks. What do you guys think.

i-it might have a fever and if it carries on i would go to the doctors to make sure you are ok (it will be ok )

Thanx for the info, i don't think it is bad enough to go to the doctor, but it does have a fever and it is swollen. It hurts so bad it feels like I am getting tattooed right now. Well thanx again.

Clean it regular with a good quality liquid antiseptic wash, keep it covered, if it is still problematic after a couple of days go to the doctors but expect a telling off. Could we see a picture of it? I recently used mags on my leg for the first time and that mother scabbed in places and was sore for a week, but I am aware what I did wrong in over working the skin, I am sure yours will be ok, it will just take 3 -4 weeks to completely heal and will need re touching when fully healed. I would not go to that guy again or tell him to register on this site and learn what he is doing wrong.

I agree Voodoo. I mean sometimes ya may see a small part of it scab more than the rest (Possibly from over working the skin). But not usually the entire area. Get some medical attn. They can at least give you an antibiotic to take care of the infection. Hate to say it but after ya clean it, poor Peroxide on it and letter foam. then allow to dry. And if ya let another person tattoo on ya and you see him doing something that you know is just absolutely wrong like
The other guy that works here(mind you that touches freshly done tattoos with bloody gloves, then says oops sorry then wipes it off with a bloody paper towel)
Slap him in the friggin head and say "oops sorry"and have em go back to emptying trash, and scrubbing tubes.
After all it's your body.

the tattoo is infected, from cutting from the needle. I know the feeling had it a couple of months ago.

keep it clean, pat drye, and cover. if you mess with it it will scar,...

thanx for all the info guys, it is getting better. By the way the shop I work at is a joke, if it wasn't for the winter time being slower than hell I would be job hunting but i am stuck til winter. I am the only one that works here that has not had an infected tattoo come back to them. I am the only CC concious person here. They don't care. To them it is all about the money and that is sad. One guy that works here is just a glorified prison scratcher. He charges $700 for portraits that have a bunch of hard lines, and rough shade, and says it is a good deal. The onwer don't care about anything he just wants us to tattoo faster to get more money out of us. I got in this industry for the art and being at a shop like this makes them all forget about the art. It is sad. Later on.

If its still scabbing hard (big, thick scabbing) try hot compresses 3-4 times a day for awhile (it may help reduce your scabbing). You should be careful at this point in your career, you should really think about getting the hell outa there before they take u down...Im sure u wouldnt want your name to be linked with these "pro's" if someone notices their (from how u explained it) filthy habits.
You know word of mouth travels and your own reputation may be at stake. Good luck with your tattoo/career.
