I fill my ultrasonic with tap water, place two disposable vending cups containing distilled water in the ultrasonic, one cup has a little green soap in the other has just plain distilled water. That is how I clean my tubes in between colours. As I use all disposables I dont clean the tubes with Rapidex or brush clean them as they are single use only, when I get my hands on a vaccuum Autoclave, I shall go the stainless steel / Rapidex route. Ultrawave also do a cleaning solution for their ultrasonic tanks.
I have seen tattooists do it the same way as me except using tap water instead of distilled water and substituting the green soap for either Dettol or anti bacterial fairy washing up liquid, when they are finished using the stainless steel tubes they clean as above then soak them in a large vertical jar of disinfectant prior to stripping the tubes, brush cleaning then Autoclaving.

i personally would not use tap water for rinsing between colours you dont know whats in it i always use distilled water
I'm not sure what you mean between colors? What I was talking about was, using the tap water mix in the ultra sonic, Then tubes are rinsed with tap water, then put in Cidex, then rinsed then in autoclave.. not rinsed then put in skin.. :D
