Hey, whuts up? Nice forum, been reading for awhile, Hello ALL! I am a little messed up right now, x-mas has took its toll on my wallet and alot of my customers to. I am out of my usuall ink (Millenium), and I have a basic set of superior's (ya right, to what dirt?) Prizm that was given to me brand new as a gift a couple months ago. I know I read all this already about how it is junk, and I would throw it out, but its all I got right now till about mid January. I been pondering , to use it, so I can keep laying ink till then, or to just turn the few customers away till then (winter sucks for the tattoo business, why is that? lol) . Is there any thing I can do (safely of course) to this ink to make it any better at all? I know I am asking for a miracle here. Is it safe to go taking a sterile syringe to them after all the alcohol is floating on top, and suck all the alcohol out, and then add some witch hazel? do i add distilled water also, can bottled water work? Will that even make a difference? I dont know... any ideas? Any? Of course I am not looking to turn it into intenze or starbright, but aleast something better than it is, so I can work with it, I can always do touch ups when my good ink comes in. Sorry about the book. Thanks all! Happy Holidays!

hello,
and welcome
im not too sure about mixing colours too make them any better but i would suggest if you do add water too them make sure its sterile Distilled water only (its very cheap)as theres alot of nasty s*** in tap water and probly the same in bottled water.
enjoy the forum,
theres alot of realy good info here,
happy reading/tattoo
and merry christmas

I've used Prizm in the past and it seems to bo ok. Definately not the greatest, but the colors have stayed pretty bright. You could always go back and touch up the colors when you get better inks if needed, but the few tats I did with Prizm haven't faded yet and the're about a year old now. I've since upgreaded to Intenze and they do flow much better and you can really tell the diference in quality, but if you're doing small tats the Prizm should be ok.

Ya I will be getting millenium in mid January, so I can touch up with that, but these prizms are like sap lol, reallly thick, and dont seem to mix well with what ever the carrier is that is currently in them, I even added stainless steel autoclaved nuts to help mix em, but still not mixing all that great. I read on here about the witch hazel, but I also heard ya gotta be careful with the mixing or you can ruin the pigment, sterility, etc.

Thanks for the info.
