I see other tattoo artists cleaning thier tubes and needles during coloring transistions hold the machine over a trash can and while its running spray (set to jet stream) into the open hole on the side of the tube, out of the tube tip to clean it as not to taint the next color. I usually use two cups of alcohol/green soap. Well my question is, I notice the spraying cleans it alot better, but when you want to wipe a tatt you spray onto a clean paper towel and wipe, not spay on the tatt and wipe, as it will cause blood to become air bourne... so is not spraying a blood exposed tube/needle (even on the jet stream) still making blood air bourne :?: :?:

I have a stainless steel, flip top trash can. I usually keep it close enough to be convenient, but not close enough to contaminate. (usually to the opposite side of me as the client, swivvel chairs are great) When I "flush" the tube, I usually spray directly into the hole and my overspray gets on the inside of the lid. I always have a fan running and set it to where the trashcan is downwind from the client(so it hits the client first) so as to prevent this. I thought I was the only one who thought about little crap like that. Good question.
