Im going to ask what may sound like a really simple question,i havent heard much at all about how many bands people use on a regular basis.I have always used three in lining and shading.I use the regular, not the black brand which seem a little more tighter. So how many bands do you all use on you machines on a regular basis?

thanx,I will start to try and run with one less as i have before. It speeds up my machine with a little less tension but at the same time i dont like the thought of any play at all when lining in a tight area.Just curious about the number of bands,i have never used more than three also.,thats probaly overkill and will have your machine on fire.

Was on a tattoo trade fair last week and looked at other tattooist, some of them had up to 5 rubber bands...., helps to get in the ink very well and without no skindamage...

Wow,I may give that a try and see how it goes, may make machine warm up some. But the coils on my machines are powerfull and i have tried different set-ups with springs and different settings as far as the gaps and adjusting contact screw to slow down machine.I have done some pretty good shading and all,but always out to improve,i got a long ways to go.I have room on my leg,so i will let ya know what happens.Thanx for sharing.

deuce. I have used more, though depends on how hard your machine runs, but there are other ways to slow down a machine. Softer springs. Larger coils, larger capacitor, distance between spring saddle. Rubber bands is by far the quickest.

i've been known to use 6 or 7
ive found for my machines 2 for the liner and 3 for my shader, and i can run them both at the same voltage that way.
I have been using two on my shader and liner. more rubber seems to add a strain to the machines.

Hi all,
I always use 3, it does slow the machine down so for lining I give it a few extra volts.
Best wishes Alan

I was using 1 and having problems so I kept going up till I got 4 on my liner and it works alot better now.
