Greetings to everyone. I'm new to all this and am still in the process of finishing reading every post in this forum. I come here with 30+ years as an artist, mechanic of more kinds than I'll mention and fabrication, and I've been wanting to get into this for a very long time but I live in a rural area of NW Wyoming, which makes it extremely difficult without immense travel time. I've got to say that this has been a godsend for those of us who need the guidance but can't afford the time or live in a place where it's hard to find it.

A little bit ago I read the post about the tip type most used / most liked for lining and most folks agreed on the diamond tip, for the reasons that it held the needle more secure, vs the round. Makes absolute perfect sense to me as it's just a matter of physics. After an exhaustive search for more info on availability of disposable diamond tipped tubes, I came up with nadda. Does anyone even make such a tool, or are there only S.S. types? Any help would be greatly appreciated as to where to find them, and I must say... what a damn nice resource to be able to come and visit.

Thanks to all-and sorry for the long-winded post.

im not sure if they have them here, i know inkcraft does cause i bought a kit from them and it had some diamond tip disposables with it, i threw them out tho i dont like them i like the rounds, i usually run a smaller tip for the needle grouping so the tip is tighter around the grouping, for example ill use a 8rshader in a 5round tube they fit nice and the needles dont bounce around, i use disposables also if that helps. you might want to check out e-bay also if you cant find what you need here.

Thanks guys.
Tadt- thats the reason for the inquiry about the diamond tips to begin with. I was looking for a solution to "needle slop" and the ability to really see the line you're laying, as opposed to knowing the line I'm laying. Thats the difference between the aspiring artist and the seasoned one. I'm new to this ink slinging. Just thought a diamond tip would help out a bit more. I'll try different sizes together and see what I like most. Hell I'll try both tubes and see.

Timmy- yeah bro I've spent the better part of a day grooming through the posts before I came back to the lining thread to ask the question I did. By then my eyes feel like they've got sand in them and I missed the previous post about the subject I asked. Like you said though, there's alot of info here for everyone to use. I'm gonna dig this place!!

Thanks, everyone.

There is many places you can go to & that have the Dis. tubes I use to use the till recently I got an autoclave so now I can use steel becase I can sterlize them.Even thogh you are going to use disposable you should do what I did, steel tubes tips & grips can be pretty costly & if you plan on staying at this eventualy youll need alot of them & want to use them,I would buy like 2 or 3 full tubes tip & grips every week or so just to start building up a collection of them,I would only use them on a practice skin till I got an autoclave but there are many places to get them.

NJ used to sell the diamond tip lexan tubes, maybe drop them an email and see if they offer them as a stock item or the possibility of getting them in.

You can try World wide Tattoo Supply they have them in disp., also Technical Tattoo Supply, they have the lexan and also the disp. tubes with out grips, that way you can use steel grips on em to balance weight, or disp. rubber grips, to absorb vibration. Keep in mind though that the grips either need autoclaved (metal grips) after every use, or the rubber grips thrown out just like the tubes. Just go to yahoo, or google and do a search for the web sites, or for disp. tubes. Hope this helps.

I use nothing but lexan diamond tips for line work. That all I ever used and never had a problem. Besides this site I order them from International Tattoo Supply ( one of the biggest suppliers on the East Coast) they run them on sale all the time for .50 cents a piece. Reg. $1.00
