I was browsing power supply options today and found one on ebay that says "6-Ways Multi-Voltage 2 Amp, Regulated Supply

• 110 Voltage
• 6 Voltages 3-4.5-6-7.5-9-12V DC
• Positive & Negative Outputs
• Power ON/OFF Switch
• With New FootSwitch & Clipcord"

does that mean that it can only be set at those 6 voltages with no fine tuning? If thats the case, is it possable to accomplish anything with such a rigid set of voltages to get the machine running smooth? Also if anyone could explane the dif. between the types of connections on a power supply and how they differ as far as connecting the clip cord and foot switch.

I've got a power supply with those same voltage settings, works just fine. I got it right here from NeedleJack, check it out.

yep,no fine tuning.the voltages r all preset on it!the 2 main types will be the banana plug, wich has 2 leads a positive and negitive.the other is the 1/4 phono plug.
