Winding coils

decided its time i had a go at winding my own coils as ive been making machines for a while and used bought coils , can anybody help me with the process of this and wire length per type of coil ie 8 wrap 10 wrap etc ,need to know the process of working out the lengh in ohms per ft for each type of coil and what gauge wire to use?

or any tips welcome

new to the forum it kicks ass .first off i must thank all you guys for all the info it helps me out alot. Im in the same boat as you evil I want to wind my own coils what i figure out so far was a 8 wrap coil unrapped was 53 feet of 24 gauge wire,but this is the first coil i unrapped and im not sure of it is the same for all . so any help from the o.g.es would be helpfull.
