hi i am new to this board and also new to the art of tattooing. so far i have found this site very interesting and informative. I recently bought a tattooing kit from spaulding and rogers the super value tattoo kit #5 it came with two machines a reaper for lining and a wolverine for shading and lots of other goodies. my question is about the power supply it came with the power deluxe 1. It has two rheostats on it a 25ohm and a 35ohm the (knobs) and no real good instructions on how to adjust it. what i mean is both knobs go up to 23 and im not sure if you add the two together to get the voltage you want or put both on the same voltage to get the desired power. ive just been putting them both on the same voltage while practicing for now but dont want to hurt my machines please help if anyone knows about these power units. thankyou very much for your time and all your help i love learning more about tattooing everyday. :?:
Give them a call. They helped me out when I had questions about my Power Unit I.

finally got a chance to call spaulding and rogers today. they told me the left knob on the supply is the voltage setting and the right one is for fine tuning. apparently when i got my kit they tuned and tested my guns for a certain voltage which i didnt realize. the woman said that the box the machines were in has numbers on it next to the machine name and this is the voltage your machine is tuned to run at. she said to set the left knob to this number which is 8 volts for my reaper liner and 12 for my wolverine shader, and then use the right know to get the desired sound from the gun by fine tuning. what do you guys and girls think about this.
