ive been thinking about trying my hand at building some machines.
i think it would just overall help my understandings of machines and what works and what doesnt.
id like to do this the right way.
im not going to be winging my own coils or anything like that.
just wondering if anyone else here has ventured into this with any succsess?
also wondering what kind of tools and materials i might need?
thanks everyone!

What can we say, I looked at this thread with interest as I am interested in machine construction and set up an no I have never built a machine from scratch before only assembled out of bits lying about etc, but take a look at some of the mass produced cheap chinese machines on the market and you will see that they are not very good at building machines. In case you did not know it is a bit more involved than bending a piece of steel, drilling and bolting a pair of coils, fitting a back post, front post, A bar etc, there is a lot of trial and error, that is obvious to anyone with an ounce of intelligence.
Now regarding your "55 people have looked" comment, perhaps you should of stated in the title " only look if you know about machine building as it's my thread and I will get sarcastic if I do not get feedback".
