Hi,
I was wondering if anybody knows of somewhere with lots & lots of good info on body piercing that maybe useful for someone wanting to learn the art ?
I was thinking of detailed photos showing placement of piercings, what to be careful of..., and info on how to perform each piercing etc. etc etc
I know Montana piercer is a wealth of the 'best' info on here, just wondered if there was a site with all of the info to hand ?
I have been on BMEzine and there is some good photos on there but no real technical info....anybody know of any other sites worth checking out ?
Hope this hasn't already been asked.....

funny you should ask that, we (needlejack and I) were thinking of putting something together, as right now there is little technical info out there other than some hit and miss videos....
The IAM forums on BME has several dedicated to body piercing, but those are pay forums. Bodymod.org is much more piercing intensive and free, but still lacks much in way of procedural and technical info
Might be time for us to get on it.....

Hi MontanaPiercer,
Yes I think it would be cool to have as much info on piercing on this site as tatooing.......Good info is very healthy for everybody concerned.
Just been checking out Bodymod.org......wow you sure have some hardcore piercings going on !!!
I have just recently started a new tattoo and piercing forum - " Ink and Steel "......could sure do with you as a member as I bet you have heaps of piccys you could share !!! We are just starting to get members posting....still early days though.
I dont want to post the URL as I might get my ass banned.....PM me if you are intersted in sharing some of your piccys and knowledge.
Stevieb.

hey Montana Hows the piercing info going, Im really interested in adding piercing to my Tattoo Buisness. I already have the autoclave, and been studying grey's anatomy and have even pierced an ear or 3 (nothing big just a couple of 10 gauge lobes) for now Im intersted in learning upper ear, tragus, nipple, navel, lip, nose and eyebrow piercing. after im confident with that I would like to learn some of the advanced stuff, (labia, hood, septum, dermal punching,) I know i have to walk before i can run and crawl before i walk so i am willing to learn. I know you are a very busy man, but maybe you could write a weekly or monthly column here dealing with piercing from the ground up ( I.E. sterilization & CC, special concerns of piercing, tools & equipmet, placement, techniques, what to avoid, aftercare etc...) or maybe se up an online webcam seminar, shoot i would even be willing to pay a few bucks via paypal to attend an online seminar

An online seminar would be ace, and like Gremlin I would be willing to pay for some pro tips from a Pro Piercer..

I hate to bump such an old thread, but has any new info been put out on if they are going to be putting out vids, files, etc on proper and safe body piercings? I'm very interested in learning more about it.

The best thing to do is scope out a good shop and get and apprenticeship. Learn from a perfessional, from not a series of videos.

I agree with that! You can watch dvds til your blue in the face but nothing works better than some hands on experience!
