new machine- tube sleeve in chuck too tight for tubes

Is it possible to open up the sleeve and are you using standard size tubes which I think are 5/16". A picture of both would be useful.

Try to open up the sleeve with some needle nose pliers. Just be carefull since brass is really soft . if that doesn't work Id just remove the sleeve. much cheaper than buying new sets of tubes just for that machine.
