White on old black???

I've been thinking of this for myself aswell as being aproached by friends...

I have some tribal on my upper arm that through time has now got soft edges/points and has lightened up a wee bit so i'm thinking of getting it sharpened up and was wondering if it's possible to put some white (or other light colour) hi-lights in to add shape and maybe create new shapes within dark areas...
Has anyone done this? Howz it look?

I've done it and it actuall worked quite well. White only in the lighter spots of the tat to accent.

..I would redefine the old tattoo first using a high quality ink like Kumo etc, then let this heal completely. The I would apply the hightlights, this will avoid any un wanted "dilution" of the black and white.
