Hi,
i almost never do colour work, cause nobody does´nt want colour anymore.. but yesterday a did a yellow tattoo, and the outlines supposed to be yellow as well, but with stencilpaper the yellow are going to mix with the purple from the stencil..
is there some special paper for colour or are u just going to do it at freehand??

Don't worry about the purple from the stencil, it will break down in the body and disappear.
If it adversely affected the colour of the finished tattoo it wouldn't be suitable for tattoo usage in the first place.

You could try bloodlining it, but no, the stencil purple won't come off into the healed ink.

have you ever outlined with colored inks before? what brands are you using? some inks have to be thinned a little to be used as a outline.im presently working on a yellow rose and it is being outlined in color, but i like it thinned almost to the point of bloodlinning so that i can either emphasize or de-emphasize the various color values when i color in the rose and stem etc

Why not just color up to the stencle then whipe the stencile off, then do your out line?

Why not just color up to the stencle then whipe the stencile off, then do your out line?
why do that?the purple from the stencil will wear off and the tattoo will never retain that purple hue once healed, also you can use diluted alcohol to wipe off any resiual stenciling when the outline is done

hi all,
the shop i was apprenticing under closed before i got a chance to finished and i never got to actually work with colour shading.. i was just wondering if anyone could let me know whether colours need to be thinned to use in shading and any tips in blending colours together would be great.

it depends on the brands of ink you use
