I play guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and sing a bit. I write, record, and produce my own music in various styles. Mainly industrial metal(static-x, Rammstein), death metal(In Flames, Soilwork), and some wierd d&b techno type stuff(skinny puppy without guitars).

yep I play guitar(lead ,rythym, and slide), bass, mandolin, banjo and fiddle.
I used to play lead guitar in a lot of bar bands, and folks tell me my guitar style is like a cross between Dave Hlubek and Tony Iaomi. I started getting into bluegrass a couple years ago hence the mando, fiddle and banjo. But I still like to crank up the stack to 11 and wail.

Before that I played in a metal band called "Hedshock" (Movement) for more than 10 years, doing covers of metal bands like Machine Head, Pantera, Fear Factory, Sepultura... great times.

whooohooo, just ordered a custom shop guitar from Carvin, I rodered the TL-60 (telecaster style), neck through the body, cs22 pickups, active electronics, Fishman acoustic bridge, coil splitters, ebony fretboard, abalone inlay, AAA Flame maple top, sperzeil tuners, graphtech saddles, and a tweed case. I also ordered a Carvin bel-air vintage tweed amp, and a cobalt accoustic.... now if I can just keep the wife away from looking at the checking account I might stay alive long enough to slip in those 2 danny fowler flatlines. lol.
I have been a loyal carvin user for years I have a legacy half stack and it will smoke a marshall or a boogie and its 1/3 the price.

Guitarist here! I used to have a second hand guitar shop in Subiaco, Western Australia and played in cover and semi original bands in pubs etc for about 10 years, playing some pop covers/mor stuff in one band, metal versions of 'regular songs' in another. I had been trying to get my shit together to record my own stuff, but I couldn't keep an original band together, I think because I expect to much from others. I have pretty much quit playing with people because I want people to be as into the music as I am, and it just doesn't happen. Maybe because my own stuff is heavily stoner/sludge/metal influenced, so all of my bandmates tend to end up being stoners....hahaha. I've since quit all 'work' and live in the country cause the ol' lady (31) has crippling arthritis in all joints, and can barely walk anymore.
Stay tuned, however, for the in progress Death Metal collab my 7 year old son and I are working on - his lyrics and vocals!! haha. That's what happens when yr kid grows up listening to Deicide...
People tell me I am similar in style to Jerry Cantrell (which I never knock back, cause I think that's a fairly fucking huge compliment). I like think of my self as passionate rather than good....not even tattoo's beat guitar for me.
Does this sound conceited and/or longwinded? Sorry. Oh, btw, I'm new here! My names Nate!

I was a music major in college and majored in trumpet and bass performance. Although I have given up the trumpet (hard for a smoker to keep the motivation to be blowing in a tube for hours on end) I am currently playing bass in an acoustic punk/folk rock/bluegrass rock band here in Denver. We are called Spark'n Thoughts. check us out at Myspace and or at a venue if you're here in town or if you will be visiting.

Oppurtunities are opening up for me and my wife in the music biz lately, we'll working on a demo for a label later this summer. I hope it all goes well, but I don't like the idea of selling my music, and I for damn sure won't be playing any bars....Oh, in case anyone is wondering, we're country/americana/bluegrass/gospel singer songwriters....probably not what you'd expect, but that's part of the point eh?
