this has been my obsession since early june 06'. i have worked on it hours at a time and the days that feel like doing it. im always hard on myself when critiquing my work and i can say this is one of my masterpieces. this is a cover-up of a previous mural that i did before. its on my bedroom wall (12ft x 4ft) done in charcoal. after i painted over the previous mural, I prepped the wall with baige paint for the skin tone. then i started the charcoal. for those who havent any charcoal experience, its pretty technical especially on 'orange peel' textured wall. i wont go into the specifics. i originally planned it to be strictly b&g but just didnt satisfy me enough so i experimented with color. glad that i did. i titled it 'The Four Prodigious Faces'. it can only be read right with a mirror.starting from the left, Davinci, Bobby Fischer, Beethoven, and Rodney Mullen. Now I can wake up everymorning with a higher sense of inspiration. heres a before and after pic.

Wow.... I DIG your mural DaVinki. Extreme talent. I just got an airbrush... Because I've just always wanted to learn... this is the first mural I'm working on..A Tiki on my garage wall... bout 6 feet tall..ish.. Being an ex-tagger.. I always wondered what it'd be like having an airbrush. Plus side... A LOT less fumes :)

I really dont remember what kind it is.... its RED though hahah. I begged ma wife for it and got it for my first Fathers Day gift :) Works pretty damn good though. Then I went to my local hobby shop and bought some new, tighter tips and colors, candie colors....for ghost flames Im practicing on to do some work on my brothers bike tank. My brothers wife saw it and actually asked me to do a mural for her team or whatever ... she's in the airforce, missle defense dept. So I did that for um... now they want me to go on base and do a huge one on their wall.... I'll post up that one later.

Its roughly...about 6 feet tall. I have sooo much still to do... on it.. I just keep gettin side tracked with other projects and of course my tattoo customers. SOMEDAY I'll finish it.
I did up my son's room before he was born too. His nickname is Tiki..hence the tiki in the garage, and the reason for the theme in his room :) I'll post stuff up later.
I made him a pretty sweet Long Board for a growth chart too :)
