hiya had my tongue done for about 5 yrs now (normally) single standered bar.
but what i wanna know is as its thru the organ does is ever actually heal to the extent you could leave the bar out of a period of time without the hole closing over?.
im not gonna take it out (ony to clean/sterilise every now and then). i just wanna know.

If you hold your hands together... will they eventually grow together? No
A well healed hole has a complete fistula, and though that fistula can shrink in size, unless there is a wound, there is nothing to grow together.
A well healed hole will not close. Shrink yes. Close no.
