hi guys i got my kit a few days ago i went to the butchers got some pig skin made my stencil placed it then i tried this for practice i started to lay my lines just off set off the stencil line to see how it was going then made adjustments to stroke and speed as i went along and now i can see an improvment buy doing this method
any thoughts

hi no i didnt but i will get some done in the next week or so as off on holiday for a week will put some pics up

Pig skin is pretty tough. i got a few hides when i frist started and actually bent some needles tatting them up. if i were you i would stick to grapefruit. they are alot cheaper too. plus the fact that they are round helps you practice you machine balance. also stap a pencil in your machine everytime you draw. i found the key to a good hardline is knowing your machine. finding the speed and voltage will come with time and common sence.
