yes, a weakened immune systems causes all wounds to heal slow.suggest you do outline 1st,then allow it to heal. depending on the size of the tattoo,anything over 4 inches when coloring or shading should be colored and allow to heal a color or two at a time

im a diabetic, and I know that tatts on me take a long time to heal, especially on the legs, thats why i have to do them in stages.

I won't touch diabetics. I know that if done properly it can be done, I just don't find it to be an acceptable risk. My two cents.

i just tattooed a guy who has diabetes, type 1 apparently, the piece is about 4.5" by 4.5" and it's taking while to heal, and its on the rear of his calf, should the aftecare procedure be the same as usual? or is there anything else i could reccomend the guy to do? like multi-vits or something?
