yea dry pigment was fun to play around with till i sneezed into an open container. intenze, millenium and eternal for me only from now on. i ended looking like i was hooked on some strawberry flavored cocaine

lmao @ sneezing into the powder. il look up freedom and see what they have, no email reply from dts BUT i did receive a catalogue from them in the post about 5 mins ago so il check it out :o) i did find a recipe on about.com it was the exact same one my friend told me in turkey apart from he uses more pigment to make the ink thicker so il give them both ago :D

i guess youd have to compare the chemical compound of the pigments in tattoo ink with those youve found.i believe in europe its mandatory to list all ingredients of tattoo ink,so you can compare what you find with whats already listed per brand of tattoo ink

some of the pigments used by artist have dangerous metals and minerals,so some you wouldnt want to use in skin

the turkey dude is in hisarounu i think its spelt lol, havent looked in art shops because i thought you had to have dry pigment specially for tattoo ink... like some places sell powder paint wich i guess is kinda the same as dry pigment but i really wouldnt use unless i knew for sure it was safe. i found a place in uk called inkorporation i think, they sell it and seem pretty helpful from the webpage i read so i think i will order some from them... it does say on there site We suggest that colour is mixed in a solution of 40% alcohol / distilled water . (Listerene, vodka etc). is that all it takes to turn the powder into tattoo ink ? the recipe i was given had vodka, glycerine, propylene glycol and pigment of course.... it all seems a bit simple though so im kinda curious about if it will actually work and hold up in the skin

yeah im going to wear gloves, a mask etc. any ideals on how i would send it off to be tested to see if it is safe to put into skin and fits the EU standard

im not sure i'd want vodka under my skin . is it just me , or does that sound strange (vodka)?

i wont be using vodka... you can replace the vodka with witchazel etc. but most inks do contain vodka anyway, kuro sumi even contains ash, theres a hell of alot of crazy stuff in ink even the best ink out there its just how its made lol
