my welding instructor has a 40,000 dollar machine that can mass produce tattoo machines. so I have the equipment and the metal. I have took measurements from the machines that i have now and have drew a frame designs and turned them into schematics but i need more information before i start fabricating so does anyone know any site or have any knowledge on frame fabrication and/or measurements and schematics???

I am new to this forum and have lots of questions. I have become totally obsessed with the design and function of these miraculous machines. Thanks ahead of time for any information you can provide. Here they are:
1. What is the outside diameter of the ink tubes?
2. What is the distance between the bolt holes on a set of coils an what sizw threads are in the end.
Thanks,
Chris

1. They're called back-stems and are usually 8mm
2. Usually about a 20mm hole centres but can vary slightly depending on coil size... a good idea to slot these holes for adjustabillity.
Welcome to the forum BTW

Thank you for the info. I have parts on order to build my first frame but I can't wait to get it designed. Do you or anyone else reading this know where or if there are standard dimensions set for the frame hole locations and sizes or is this a function of the parts being used?

frame dimensions is MOSTLY up to u. i like my liners alot more compact than my shaders. the best advice i could give u is EXPERIMENT. something as technical as machine building is best learned by hands on experience.
