Guys, I need some help. Why can I not get my liner needles to sit in the bottom of my V tip tibe. I use SS, and when I load up my machines I can never get my needle grouping into the bottom of my tip.

Any help would be appreciated and make my life alot easier.

Thanks

sounds stupid but are you using the right size tips for the right size needles ? have you tried putting the needle through the tip without it on the machine ?

I think he means he cant get the needle to rest down in the bottom of the v. Some people like to put a slight bend in the needlebar. I never do usually i dont need to. Theres a topic somewhere on this.

Yes i always bend my needles a bit, more with the lining and just a little with the mags!!

do you bend the bar towards the machine or outward?

away from the machine, you want to create a little tension or negative tension with the bands on so the needle sits on the bottom of the tube, if you dont bend them the needle tends to go to the top, its all relative, top and bottom, you get the drift, i hope

thanks guys, I have been trying to get my needle in the bottom but I often end up lining with the needle in the top of the tube. I know it is wrong but I've had ok results. I'll try bending my needle bar away from my machine, hopefully this will help my lines a bit too.

How much of a bend are we talking?

It all depends, that's something your gonna have to do by trial and error. Also
it's gonna depend on where your armature bar pin with grommet is setting in relation to the center of your tube. Not trying to confuse you just bend it so that it bows away from the machine and your rubber bands tension will seat your needle bar and needles in place.
