To avoid getting the big white spot in the middle of your pics (this is for people still using disposable cameras and non digital) that is caused by the flash reflecting off the ointment and whatnot,cut a tiny piece of tracing paper and tape it over the flash bulb area. It allows just enough illumination without washing out the tattoo.
