swollen tounge

Ive had my tounge pierced for 8 years and now the bottom of my tounge has become swollen and painful.the top has no pain or swelling.Anyone have any ideas about this.

Mine has gotten sore a couple of times over the years. I would suggest gargle with salt water nightly and be sure you are brushing the tongue ring when you brush your teeth. The salt water helps alot though.

Ive been doing that for 4 days now and it has only gotten worse. It has been sore before you know like after using it on the wife and all but this is not anything like that .This is pure pain.

Don't use it on the wife till it's all better.

smoking can do that, i know mine does it alot, try eating gum after each smoke. If you don't smoke, congrats for not, but yea, you must've eaten something that could've irritated it.

got it straight now took a while still dont know what happened but all good now thanks for the help guys
