Been reading a lot about frame building, came across the idea that having a side plate of a ferrous material might not be a good idea, as it interfere with the magnetic waves of the coils right next to it. Hmmmm....Thats why when yer backspring isn't tightened down properly, it always moves toward the side plate, not away from it.....Hmmmm.........

Bingo, the side plate attracts the a-bar as the coils energize. She'd need to be a bloody loose screw to have any huge effect though. Same thing with adjusting if your frame magnetizes.

Lol, but not to put too fine a point on it......... F That!!, who in their right mind would want to go through the B/S of shipping charges to replace springs for christs sake??
Coulda stuck a double short arm brass or bronze up stand on the rear (sides) of that unit and had it fully ajustable.
Too much friggin time over complicating a simple relay circuit nowdays, make a damn frame out of a non-ferrous material if your worried about magnetic field I say, or put a non-ferrous side arm on.
5c and a rant.....lol
