photoshop hands down, i feel the best program to edit flash and draw your own!!

corel photo paint is great if you want to print and change the aspect ratio.you can unlock it and change the height and width independently.

photoshop can do that as well, i usually use it to add 2 pics together like kanji, and flowers for example.. you can resize and make any picture into a line drawing!!;)

yup.. Photoshop will do everything corel will and much more...

I've been using ACDsee for scanning, editing, and viewing flash...works great, has an idiot proof interface...

I wanted to jump in here. I think that people are overlooking Adobe Illustrator. When it come to drawing your artwork out and having the ability to change line weight and blending modes with limitless other fun tools.
Even if you are scaning your artwork in, it is the best tool to get the most clean and accurate outline hands down...
I prefer editing in photoshop.. I use illustrator for things that will be going to print though.. they are a great compliment to each other.. and any good graphic designer has both.. Photoshop is a bit easier to grasp for people just starting out though.

well i dont use any coz im crap with that stuff, i cant even resize designs....think thats why i do more freehand work lol
