hey jerry
contact screws are not cast

buy a length of silver in the size you need an run a die down it to get the thread pitch.

Just go down to your local hardware supply store, and pick yourself up a tap n die kit! they are like $25 and up but worth having, as well as a screw extractor set!

I'd go with the pure silver rod, the lesser would be softer which isn't good for a contact screw.

you can always go copper too......usual rule of thumb......8?32" thread = 8/32" rod realitive to the thread size, not sure of you get it in that size as Im mainly metric............ if your thinkin copper check your local harware store for copper nails........
