Decided this was probably the more appropriate section for such posts.

3rd Spanner.... Left the front spring long on this for a reason, you'll pick it.

might need to replenish hte tool chest if i keep this shit up.

lol, just in case it goes out as a shader or someone wants to set it as less of a cutback.... hence the second post hole ;)

Never went in for the numbers game but went out and grabbed me a bench meter... for those who give a shite here's the current state of play, loaded.

Looks really good!! just make sure you still have some spanners to work with!! lol I found an antique shop that has some wicked old spanners, but they want my left arm and right leg for em!! lol

its anuda of those real simple ones.....
they aren't wrapped, they're coated in a 2 pot plastic 4 goings over, then burnt, sanded off a bit and coated.

Just for that you prick i found an old Bicycle spanner "made in England", that tomorrow you'll see a different look of......... even leaving the word 'England' on it just for shits ;)

Any more details on this, I wouldn't mind doing a set of coils like this for a machine I am building.

Yep, heres some more details...

Alumiltie, comes in black and standard, standard dries a whitish bone color.

Its a 2 part plastic and goes off within 3 minutes.

Get yourself plenty of throw away paint brushes, small ones...
Wrap your coils as per normal.
Mix the Alumilite and brush a costing over each coil,,, you only got limited time.

Let it set, usually less than 5 minutes, and recoat... repeat the recost until you build up a good covering, it will look uneven but this is fine.

Now burn it with a propoane touch, or a pencil tourch you will see it bubble a lil and darken off just flame it till you get want you want.

Now 150grit it by hand it will leave dark patches...

Lastly... clear coat them... and yer done.

You can also build up a thick layer on each coil and dremel into the shit before doing the above.
