First thought is thumb screw but seems a little too obvious...

to me it looks like a yoke with a coil core, but hmmm, maybe thumb screw?

lol, giving scale woulda given it away.... 2 close but Crop woulda been the closest.

Here's anuda one of it on its ways........ am goin for a single "hammerhead" coil 1 1/4", 12wrap with a 5/16" flat Hammerhead field spreader. Should be an interesting proto build up ;)

Sounds cool man... are you going to make tha a-bar as wide?

Width of the hammer is a little over 3/8", so A-Bar will be standard width and probably a lil shorter.

OK, lessen learnt.... Hammerhead don't work on a steel frame, too much mass and the frame starts to magnetise......so it'll have to go on a brass or bronze frame..

That said couldn't waste the frame so made up a single, 14wrap, slightly stilted, 1967 NZ 20c piece end caps, Std length

Still some finishing, but runs well........... 151hz,40%DC,7.6V (loaded, 2 bands)

I'm with you Jason, (CROPCIRCLE) Looks like a Coil core/Yolk combination......
Maybe for some kind of single coil machine? hell I dunno!

Looks like it came out really nice,good lookin frame.
