Seen on the news this evening that Mi. legislation is trying to get statewide law. If it passes all shops will need to be licensed and pass health department regulation. Anyone from the area have any info on this??

I read that it has passed one half of Congress and is on it's way to the other. I do believe we need something, but what I read of it so far sounds purely money related. It reads like they are using us as a small way to help cover the expiring single business tax. We all know MI needs revenue. I would like to take this moment to issue a big FUCK YOU to former Gov. Engler for the way he screwed up our state's fiscal affairs for the 12 years he was in office. We're seeing the repercussions now. Anyone that would like to point the finger at Granholm should read up a little about the 12 years of Engler first. I feel a bit used in regards to this new legislation because it does nothing in regards to people tattooing at home or at parties. It's another case of punishing those who are trying to do things the right way, while still allowing those who are more likely to spread disease and infection to slip through the cracks. Unless this is addressed I say this is a bad bill at this juncture.
